Colospa is used for relief of abdominal pain, cramps, bloating and wind, diarrhea or constipation associated with irritable bowel syndrome.

Drug Uses
Colospa is used for relief of abdominal pain, cramps, bloating and wind, diarrhoea or constipation associated with irritable bowel syndrome. It may also be used for other conditions as determined by your doctor.
How Taken
Use Colospa as directed by your doctor. It is recommended to take Colospa before a meal. One tablet 3 times a day.
Missed Dose
If you miss a dose take it as soon as you remember. However if it is almost time for the next dose, skip the Missed Dose and continue your regular dosing schedule. Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed one.
More Information
If your symptoms do not improve or if they worsen, contact your doctor. Colospa should be used only by the patient for whom it has been prescribed. Do not take less or more or take it more often than prescribed by your doctor.
Storage
Store Colospa bellow 86 °F ( 30 °C). Store away from heat, moisture, and light. Do not store in the bathroom. Keep Furosemide out of the reach of children.
Warnings/Precautions
Before taking Colospa, tell your doctor or pharmacist if you have any medical conditions, especially if you have allergies to medicines, foods, or other substances, if you are allergic to any ingredient in Colospa, if you have failure of function of part of the gut causing an obstruction (paralytic ileus), life long inherited blood diseases which can cause a variety of symptoms, including mental health problems (porphyrias), or If you have been constipated for more than one week, if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant or are breast–feeding. If you become pregnant, contact your doctor. You will need to discuss the benefits and risks of using Colospa while you are pregnant. There are no known harmful effects when this medicine is used by breastfeeding mothers. However, if you are or will be breast–feeding while you use Colospa, check with your doctor. Discuss any possible risks to your baby. Some medicines may interact with Colospa. Therefore tell your doctor of all prescription or nonprescription medicine, herbal preparation, or dietary supplement that you are taking.
